Solutions from Electrodata
The next technology wave is coming, and it's called VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The Wikipedia describes VoIP as IP Telephony, also called 'Internet telephony', is the technology that makes it possible to have a telephone conversation over the Internet or a dedicated Internet Protocol (IP) network instead of dedicated voice transmission lines. This allows the elimination of circuit switching and the associated waste of bandwidth. Instead, packet switching is used, where IP packets with voice data are sent over the network only when data needs to be sent, i.e., when a caller is talking.

With the assistance of OEM technology, we are now able  to offer recorder solutions for the following VoIP switches:

CiscoNortelAvaya
3ComNBX/SS3NBX Layer 3
CitelAlcatelMitel
Splicecom

If you are thinking of converting your telephone system to VoIP technology  and you need to have recording, please call us now on (+612) 8844 9300 to discuss and advise on your requirements.

Major Contract Update with Victorian Government
Emergency Communications Victoria (ECV) recently decided to upgrade their 800 channel Epl eXperience recorder by adding a further 500 channels, an expansion of over 60%. ECV operates all the emergency call centres in Victoria and require the redundant archiving facilities that only eXperience can deliver.

All "000" calls made in Victoria are captured by Electrodata eXperience recorder and archived simultaneously at the receiving site and the back up site. For this customer, VXA recording media is used because of its vast data capacity(80GB) Only Electrodata is able to deliver this type of performance thanks to the unique architecture chosen for this ground-breaking recorder.

The new channels in the expanded system are being used in part to log all two-way radio traffic used by the Victorian emergency services.
