How secure is information recorded on Electrodata recorders?
Messages recorded on Electrodata recorders are encrypted by a proprietary formatting algorithm. It is impossible to change individual messages in any way and re-insert them onto the DVD, tape or hard disk. Although individual copies of retrieved messages can be modified when saved as a ".wav" file, it is impossible to change the original recording. DVD disks and DAT tapes are protected by Electrodata's robust security system, including a lockable front panel, and a password protected user management system that allows specific permission to be set for each user.
